Step One

I've been contemplating qutting for a long, long time, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I went to Fred Meyer and bought the patch, though I'm not sure exactly when I am going to start it. I have to do some preplanning per the instructions. The whole process runs for 8 weeks, and is a two stage process. 14mg/day to start then 7mg/day after 6 weeks. I'll try to use the blog as a place to vent and track my progress. Wish me luck!

Good luck nephew! Smoking is bad for the environment! I know you can do it.

Right on. Now I have someone I can commiserate with. I fell off the wagon this last month. It's really hard being in Spain where everyone smokes and it's freakin' cheap. But this week I gave quitting another shot and I am proud to say that I haven't had a cig since Monday. My new trick is to carry around a pack of chicles.
